SELA Student Life

The hours between hello and home.

Three languages, two campuses, and a rhythm built for children — from the infant room at sunrise to the last golden hour on the court.

Four SELA Lower School children stand against a classroom wall, beaming and holding up the Spanish alphabet drawings they made.

7:30 AM · Arrival Infant Room

The youngest arrive to low light and a familiar voice in Spanish. Mornings begin slowly, on purpose.

9:30 AM · Discovery Early Global Education

Toddlers head outside with binoculars and questions. The garden is the first classroom of the day.

11:00 AM · The Lab Lower School · Science

By late morning the microscopes are out, and a second language becomes the language of curiosity.

1:30 PM · Deep Work Upper School

Afternoons are for the long project — stories drafted, problems argued, ideas built across three languages.

3:30 PM · Golden Hour Sports Skills

The day ends on the court, certificates in hand and the light going amber over the South Shore.

A teacher's gloved hand offers an orange slice to two curious infants in a sensory-play bin in the SELA infant room. A SELA toddler peers through binoculars among tall garden plants on a bright morning. Two SELA Lower School girls lean into microscopes side by side during a science lesson. Two SELA students concentrate at a desk, drawing and writing a comic-strip project together. A group of SELA children hold up tennis certificates on the blue court in warm late-afternoon sunlight.

Room to run

Recess isn't a break from learning here — it's where a lot of it happens. Gardens, courts, tunnels, and a hundred closer looks.
